It’s been about a month since I’ve launched this website, and if you are reading this you’ve probably taken the time to support my new venture into Capule Creative and I truly want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I’ve told many of you via Facebook or Twitter that creating this entity and website is the first step towards the bigger picture in my life. Capule Creative encompasses all that I do as a musician whether it be teaching, performing, or creating– it’s all here. I didn’t want to create different websites for Elben the pianist, or Elben the teacher, or Elben the songwriter et cetera et cetera, because at the end of the day I identify as all of those things. I’ll be posting on this blog every couple weeks about a variety of things: performance practices, marketing suggestions, recording tips, approaches to songwriting, possibly cute pictures of kittens with inspirational quotes attached. Now I have a favor to ask of you all. I know at this moment in time most of you viewing this page are friends, family, and recent clients. His multifaceted career is a testament to the breed of musician that Elben represents. He maintains an active schedule as a staff pianist for Santa Ana Unified School District, Community Presbyterian Church of La Mirada, and the La Mirada Symphony. His home studio Capule Creative hosts a wide variety of students, all with the same goal in mind: the pursuit of excellence through music. Elben’s students have won local piano competitions, gained acceptance into the Orange County School of the Arts, and have worked with world-class producers to create albums released on digital platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Elben completed his Master of Music degree at California State University Fullerton in 2012 and his Bachelor of Music at Pacific Union College in 2009, both as a scholarship recipient and with an emphasis in Piano Performance. His primary professors during his studies were Eduardo Delgado at CSUF and Dr. Lynn Wheeler at PUC. Elben is regularly commended for his work as an artist that is able to transcend and collaborate with other areas of the arts. He has participated in multiple festivals and workshops including but not limited to: Music Fest Perugia, The Jascha Heifitz Symposium for Personal Style, and The Joffrey Institute. Elben has formerly held positions with the Waldorf School, Pacific Ballet Conservatory, and the Huntington Beach Music & Art School. You can find his recordings on all major music platforms under Amnesia Beach and Elben– selections of his recordings have been featured in Hollister and Sony stores worldwide. When Elben’s not in a practice room or recording studio, you can find him surfing, skiing, or traveling. While most of his peers revel in music competitions and titles, Elben is constantly looking for new ways to expand his musical horizons and develop as an artist; while collecting titles of his own, they have never been his primary objective. Well-traveled, compassionate, and well-versed in all things music, fashion, and culture his experiences go well beyond piano and add to his unique artistry.
